Message	engine failed due to low oil pressure as you say then something in the oil pressure system failed like the oil pump, rotated babbit bearings on crank or rods, major external leak, blockage in passages or .....? Why didn't you stop when the oil pressure dropped and check out the reason? Maybe the timing belt failed? What was the max speed and for how long on the trip home? I hope you got a great deal on the car so with the replaced engine it doesn't dump you too far down. ZUL8TR in Orlando,FL
